A documentary theatre project and training ground for women about clothing and style in later life. The first stage of the project trained cis and trans women in autobiographical storytelling whilst they build interview material with the central question: Can I still wear this? Designed and led by Sonja Linden and Claire French and directed by Rachel Grunwald, this performed as 'Whatever Happened to Mrs Exeter?' in 2016. Following this, the show became the shorter, one-woman, touring, site-specific verbatim piece 'Can I still wear this?', directed by Sue Lefton. This piece was set in a private bedroom as a starting point or consciousness-raising between older women, exploring how they transition from their younger selves through the contents of their wardrobe.
